“Fractions of a summer flowing with glimmering oceans and floating memories.”
There are many reasons why I both love and hate the DSLR video revolution. This right here is one of the reasons I love it.Without the revolution many videos like Sea Cave just wouldn’t exist. Go on holiday, take your camera with. Shoot.
“How many things we held yesterday as articles of faith which today we tell as fables.”
A friend of mine shared this video on facebook yesterday and I was completely blown away by it. The film, a highly visual emotional roller coaster, crisscrosses the best and worst times in the central characters relationships. Every aspect of this film is exquisite, from the cinematography, sound design and editing to the direction and performance. Honestly one of the best shorts I have ever seen.

I couldn’t help but share this rad little clip from Jesse Rosten. Jesse is a filmmaker. Jesse also made my favourite video of all time: Growing is Forever.
New video from that band who have made a career out of making very average music with extraordinary music videos. Needing/Getting is no different. Wow.
OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck.
New track and video from Markus Wormstorms upcoming album:
Not I, But A Friend.
Word on the street (or the intenets) is that the Album Launch is going down tonight at an abandoned building in Bishopscourt and will include performances by Inge Beckmann, Kyla Rose and others.
The video is the first live action work I have seen come from Jannes Hendrickz who is responsible for, amongst many other things, the latest Clover ‘Milky Way’ TVC as well as the infamous ‘The Tale of How’.
